For children, Halloween is a magical time of the year. Playing dress-up is fun any day of the week, but on this day, everyone is playing along! Both boys and girls alike get to dress and imagine they are their favorite superheroes, toon characters, a princess, a doctor, or anything else their big imaginations can conjure. Letting their creativity soar as they take on the role and personality of their chosen character is a fun and exciting experience for all involved. Many living space take this possibility to live out their fairy-tale fantasies and dress like a beautiful princess from their favorite book or Disney movie. We within my Girl Dress want to comb through our huge “closet” and find dresses that you will find the perfect fit. Whether you have dresses in your closet or you’re last-minute shopping for a costume for your little princess, here are a few guidelines to consider* (*while supplies are in stock; be sure to choose overnight or express delivery to ensure arrival by Halloween):

 Cinderella/Fairy Princess A light blue, flowing flower girl dresses is made for this. Add a tiara and some “glass slippers” and you have yourself a costume! Hair should be thrown in a clean, classic bun to hold the costume all together. Belle/Fairy Tale Princess We aren’t sure about the monster, but in a dress like this, we know who the sweetness is going to be! A satiny, yellow dress adds up to the perfect Belle or elegant ballroom princess. To add to the costume, purchase white, elbow-length gloves, and pretty pellet jewelry. Pretty Little Red Riding Hood Any pretty red dress will do, but the fancier, the better! Your little one will be the nicest Red Riding Hood in your area! Take a dress like this one, curl her hair, and add a red hood/cape combo and you nailed it. Ladybug If you have a red dress with black spots or polka dots like the one above, an adorable ladybug is the perfect costume. All you need are some black wings and she’s ready to fly! Tinker Belle/Fairy As one of the most lovable characters in different child’s story, Tinker Belle is a fantastic costume to dress as for any daughter!
